Duke is officially a senior citizen. He's almost 7 1/2 years old. Hard to believe we have had him that long.
Last month I noticed he was limping and not putting any weight on his back left leg. We waited a few days to see if it would get better. Well it didn't. So Kurt took him to the vet---he had to have his teeth cleaned anyway. After an x-ray they told us that he has hip dysplasia (which, in my very basic knowledge, is when the hip doesn't fit fully in the hip socket). It is very common in bulldogs and we pretty much knew that it would happen sooner or later. He will need a hip replacement down the road. Oh the joys of getting old!

He is so cute and that makes me so sad, our cute dog brings our home tons of joy...I don't want her to age. I never would have thought she would end up being like the little celebrity! Love your blog.
P.S. Yes, Austin and Cooper both told us they ran into you guys! Small world up there.
