Dana Point

Last week I packed up the three younger kids and headed to Dana Point for the week. The England family lets us use their house for a week usually once a year and it was our week! It just happened to fall in the middle of September. Who doesn't need a little vacation after 6 LONG WEEKS of school??? :)
We spent Wednesday at Disneyland. Boy was it hot! I wasn't expecting that for September. It was nice to get stuck inside the Indiana Jones ride for a while so we could sit down and be cool!

Ready to ride!

It was Cline's turn to go to Disneyland with Grandma and Grandpa so he got to come with us even though the rest of his family weren't there.

The kids loved Toy Story Mania!

Sunne and Emerson BEFORE they got wet!

We were so excited to see Sully! The whole week we had been watching Monsters Inc. at the house with Will.

Finn chipped his tooth at the beach in Emerald Bay.

April was kind enough to bring her boards so we could do some surfing at Doheny.

Cline doing a little boogie-boarding.

Mom, Dad and Linz at Emerald Bay beach.

Sunne, of course, avoiding the camera.

Will LOVED the beach!

We had such a fun time but it was way too short and we missed having the rest of the family there with us. And, of course, we were sad that Kurt and Montana couldn't come.

Grace's Baptism

When we were in Laguna for beach week in July, we were able to go to Grace's baptism. We are so lucky to have been able to see 3 cousin's baptisms this summer! We wish we lived closer to more of the Brian cousins!

Homecoming 2009

Montana and Dylan
Montana and Brooke

Montana and Mo

Cute girls!
The Orem Homecoming dance was Saturday night. I did not get home from California in time to see her out the door for her date. When I left the Sunday night before, she was a mess! She didn't have a dress or shoes. She was so stressed out because she wasn't sure when she would have time to do all she needed to do to get ready. But Kurt, father-of-the-year, was there to save the day and take her dress shopping! What a good dad. I think she had a really fun time.

Finn the keeper

Finn has been playing keeper for his soccer team this year. He has really enjoyed it. It's been a little stressful for his mom though! But for never having played this position before, he has done extremely well.

Here we go again.....

It's that time of year again! The St. George Marathon is 2 weeks away. Hopefully this year I will finish and can post a picture of me with that medal around my neck! I am getting nervous and feeling a little underprepared. But I am excited at the same time! I am so glad Cami is back on to run with me. It's always better to have someone to share the pain.

Labor Day in Grover

Sometimes it's really hard to come home from vacation. Everything about this weekend was perfect-----except for maybe the length of the stay. I could have stayed another week I think.

Saturday we had thunderstorms on and off for most of the day. The kids got caught in the theater during some really loud thunder! Sunday was sunny and warm again (as Sundays always are on vacation). Cal and Myla were baptized in the Fremont River. It was a wonderful day-very spiritual and absolutely perfect. I don't think any of the kids will forget it because it was so unlike most baptisms. Monday we went for a ride on the 4-wheelers, cleaned up the house and came home.

The new house is coming along really well. It is going to be a great place for our family to be together.
