Thanksgiving 2012

Grandma loves her kitchen helpers.

Unfortunately there are only 2 pictures from our Thanksgiving festivities at the ranch this year. We had a good time though. Darin and Peter and family were missing but that was it.

The stomach flu came through and hit Grace, April, Ford, Emmy and Montana. It hit Indy and Emerson after we left. Luckily it was pretty quick----about 24 hours. But it's still not fun to be sick especially at the ranch.

The food tasted unusually good to me this year. Not sure why.... Still thinking about that yam soufflé and pretzel salad.

Election Day

I don't think I have ever been so interested in a presidential campaign in my life. It's an exciting day!

GO MITT!

GHANA

It's going to be a long 2 weeks I tell ya!! Kurt left yesterday to Ghana. A group of sales reps from Vivint are going there to do some humanitarian work and Kurt and his team are going along to film the project. Kurt has been to Africa before----about 2 1/2 years ago he went to the Democratic Republic of Congo. But so far he says Ghana is a completely different experience! Much better from what I'm gathering.

After flying to New York yesterday and then a direct flight to Accra, he arrived this morning (or afternoon there...) and now he's in an ancient mini-van for 2 hours through the desert to his destination.
Looking forward to hearing about the rest of his adventures!

Some cute chicks

I think the feet are the cutest part!

Emerson decided she wanted her and her friends to be chickens for Halloween this year. She found the idea from Martha Stewart and the costumes turned out so cute.  Although I think I'll be finding feathers random places in my house for the next few months.
