Wisdom Teeth

Montana, in preparation for turning in her mission papers, had to get her wisdom teeth out yesterday. She was really excited about it as you can tell by the picture! After the surgery, she was so funny! I got some good stuff on video. I will have to save it for blackmail purposes.....

Here she is a couple days later---not too swollen. It actually got quite a bit worse. That weekend she was also babysitting Ali Hill's rabbit Rue. It looks like she's holding a stuffed animal but it's a REAL bunny!

Christmas Eve 2012

It's really sad how few pictures we take anymore----even on a big holiday like Christmas!

Christmas Eve this year was with the England side. We gathered at Mom & Dad's with everyone but Sunne, Flynn and Elliot.....and new baby Boston. Sunne had just given birth on December 16 so they stayed home. We had a fun time. The kids were running around like crazies----too excited to contain their energy.

We gave Mom & Dad their Christmas gift. I was so excited about it. And I think they really loved it. This isn't the greatest picture and we still need to re-hang them better and more permanently.

Everything under the sun

A little bit of what has been going on lately.  In no specific order...
Dinner and a movie---single girl style.

It's Friday and I should be excited about that but the fact that Kurt is gone AGAIN makes it a lot less exciting. Last Friday when he was gone I headed up to Salt Lake to the Dickens Christmas Festival, hit the new outlets in Lehi and then came home by 9 to watch a movie----all by myself. Most of the time I don't mind hanging out by myself but 2 weekends in a row is no fun!

Waffle Love and Decadance---heaven!
Can you tell I'm a foodie?? If Kurt is gone I seek entertainment in food. Thank goodness to my parents for super good genes or I could be really fat!

Focus on the polish not my unattractive hands.

I've said this before.....I'm no girly-girl. But I like to get festive once in a while with some sparkly nails!

Tuesday night we went over to Vivint to help out with their Sub-for-Santa night. They sent Emerson and I to Target to do some shopping for a couple of families. We picked up some Barbie clothes and I wanted to see how much they were. The above picture is what came up on the price-checker screen. How hilarious is that! I couldn't resist an Instagram post about that....

Montana, Emerson and I couldn't resist making a Christmas card that we WISH we had the guts to send out. It's unfortunate you can't see the pictures better. Also, notice Indy is not in the picture. We would've sent it out with no comment about him at all. Wouldn't that leave friends and family guessing....or laughing.....or questioning what is going on at our house???!!

Love it!

The kids looking at an iPhone.

I got all of Kurt's Ghana pictures on my computer and told him he needed to post about his experience there.  Of course he didn't get a chance to do it before he headed out of town again. But, in the meantime, this is one of my favorite pictures from his trip.

Emerson's Singing Debut

Last night was Canyon View's Christmas Choir Concert. And Emerson had a solo for the ladies choir. She sang the beginning of Santa Baby. She did great! She didn't sound nervous at all. We were so proud! All the singing around the house all day is serving her well!

Good job Emer!!

Introducing Clark

So, maybe our kids are a little old for an Elf on the Shelf but we are doing it anyway. The difference for our family is that there is a little (way little, $1) reward for finding Clark each day. Anything to help add to the Christmas spirit!

A little vacation

Our lunch and movie date.
Looks pretty nice huh??

We left right from the ranch after Thanksgiving and headed to So. Cal for a little get-away. Granddad England graciously let us use his week at the house in Capistrano Beach.
Finn decided last minute that he couldn't miss a week of school so he wasn't able to come. And Montana flew down later in the week to join us. Indy was able to miss a few days of school to hang out with us. So Emerson got a lot of one-on-one time with Mom and Dad!

Montage

The Montage was having a community event with food and crafts and music and a Christmas tree lighting.  We headed over there with Darin & Peter and Brett & Christy and their families. It was a little odd for me to be experiencing Christmas activities outside without being bundled up and freezing to death. It was a pretty good time and fun to see the beautiful hotel.

A day at Disneyland is always a must! The crowds at California Adventure were a little crazy at the beginning of the day (because of CarsLand I think) but overall the waits were pretty minimal.

My favorite ride!

We finally were able to see World of Color. I liked it! It was a little long after a long day at the park but I'd say it was worth it.

a little bike ride on the beach

Banzai Bowl----delish!!
no cooperation for a cute picture.....

Thanks to the England clan for letting us use their beautiful house! Hopefully we will get to go again....
