Happy Birthday Emerson!

Today Emerson turned 13! Her birthday always seems to fall when we are on vacation or on the way to vacation. So sometimes we don't celebrate it like we should. . But today we were in Laguna Beach celebrating on the beach with all the Brian family! Pretty lucky I'd say....
We love you Emerson!
White chocolate raspberry, red velvet and pineapple upside down cakes!

We only had 12 candles....oops!

Yay for cousins!

One more boy...

Baby Atticus arrived today weighing in at 7 lbs.13 oz. Everyone says he is a miniature Dave. I haven't seen him yet but I can't wait to! Lindsey may make me hose down and dress in scrubs from head to toe first. She was pretty dang protective of the nieces and nephews before she got this one of her very own.

Congrats Lindsey & Dave!

YM High Adventure Camp

Indy, through much bribery and persuasion, went with the YM on their high adventure camp this year to Zion National Park. Luckily Paul and Nate were there to make it fun. Once again I give all picture credits to Alan Bailey who was also on the trip. The pictures are in no particular order that I know of----since I wasn't actually on the trip! :)

Trying to get that tent set up. I wonder if they ever did it....

Indy's signature scowl

I had to put this one in only because of the great halter top Indy is sporting.

Father's Day 2012

I am pretty lucky to have such great fathers in my life. I realize the older I get that I married a man who is just like my dad in so many ways.
Our life together these past 20+ years has been pretty great. I so appreciate the father Kurt is to our children.
And we can't go very many days without missing Pat. Our lives are much too quiet without him. I'm sure he is slapping backs and laughing that loud, hearty laugh in heaven!

California Los Angeles

It was an exciting day today....(tinged with a bit of sadness)
Josh got his mission call........to California Los Angeles Spanish-speaking! He will enter the MTC on July 25! That's pretty quick. I almost feel like Josh is my 3rd son because he's at our house so much. I have to say that I got a bit teary as he read the call.
His friends were there to support him! And Montana was there of course but no pictures of her....

This whole experience is bringing back a lot of memories of sending Kurt off on his mission 24 years ago-----he entered the MTC on May 18, 1988. How I remember that exact date I am not sure!
