PROM

The day has finally arrived for the big dance! Montana was so excited. She looked beautiful! I can't say she looked cute because that is not what she was going for!
Her beautiful corsage!

She actually pinned the boutonniere on all by herself.

What a cute couple!

I hope they have a fun night!

Day 3

Here is Finn's face 3 days later. His eye is now starting to go black and it is a lot more puffy. Now the swelling has moved down his face and more toward his jaw. He keeps asking me when all of this is going to be gone. I let him stay home from school the first day after. I know he is embarrassed at how he looks!

The joys of boys-the day of the injury

Finn and his friends were riding around the neighborhood on a Rhino on Tuesday. They were riding through the Hunter's empty lot and hit a rock which tipped the Rhino over. Finn was on the back and fell out and landed on a rock right on the side of his face and then everyone fell on top of him. Luckily the Rhino didn't fall on top of the kids! These pictures don't really show how big the goose egg is right next to his eye.

Spring Break

After spending Easter in St. George, we headed further south to Laguna Beach to spend the rest of our spring break. Derik and April were out of town for their spring break so they let us take over their house for the week. The Heatons decided to bail out of school for a week and come with us!

Waiting for the Shamu show.

Here are the kids waiting to get wet! I don't know why they wanted to get wet because it was so cold! Montana was wearing jeans and I think it took her most of the day to get dry.

Me and Maisy! This was only our second day hanging out with the Heatons so it is kind of a miracle that Maisy is letting me hold her. By the time we left on Saturday she was just starting to talk to us!

Easter

Easter this year was spent in St. George. The Easter bunny didn't hide any eggs or baskets this time around. But that was okay because I think the kids enjoyed it anyway! We don't even have any pictures of Montana checking out her basket. Finn is holding up a note that says $20 spending money.
I think Indy's note says a trip to the Candy Baron in Laguna Beach.

Jay & Cami and the boys

This is one of the most terrible family pictures we have ever taken so I am not quite sure why I decided to post it!

Hey, she's not 16 yet!

Last night about 11:00 p.m., as Kurt and I were driving home from our date, my cell phone rang. I looked at the phone and didn't recognize the number. So I answered.
Me: Hello.
Caller: Sister Brian? (oh no, this could be bad!)
Me: Yes.
Caller: Hi, this is Morgan.
Me: Hey Morgan, how are you?
Caller: Good. I have something to ask you.
Me: Yes, go ahead.
Caller: I know Montana is not 16 yet but I was wondering if it would be okay if I asked her to Prom.
Me: (Trying to hold back a scream....) Yes, that would be okay.
Caller: Okay, thanks, bye.

I was so excited! So we got home, got the kids to bed and about 10 minutes later, the doorbell rang. Kurt answered and I asked him who it was. He said no one was there. We didn't think anything of it. About 10 minutes later the doorbell rang again. Kurt answered again and said no one was there. But we sat and watched both doors for a minute to see if we could see who the doorbell ditcher might be. Then Kurt looked out the front door window and saw something on the front porch. Sure enough, there was a note with 2 easter eggs asking Montana to prom. She was sleeping over at Monique's so she wasn't even home to see it. I was dying for her to come home this morning and see it! We also didn't realize until this morning that there were easter eggs all over the front lawn!

She was so excited!

She had to look through all the eggs to find the letters to Morgan's name. She knew who it was as soon as she found the first letter!
I know, I know, she's not 16 yet! But we had talked about this a few months ago and we told Montana that if Morgan and only Morgan asked her, she could go to Prom. The dance is April 25 so she will really only be 5 weeks away from 16.

REAL GAME

Thursday we went to the home opener for the REAL. Indy's team was playing during half time so we got a bunch of the family to come and watch. It was cold but not too miserable until about 8 minutes left in the game. It started to sprinkle and then rain and then pour! We decided to leave about that time. It's a good thing we left because by the time we got to the car we were soaked!
Mom & Sherry. Further on down the line, Lindsey is there with Dad and Jay and his boys. I didn't get a chance to take a picture of them.

Hana, Indy and Paul getting pumped up to play.
REAL won by the way!

Another birthday boy!

Blessing day with Montana.
My little "old man" is now 14 years old! I know he probably doesn't like that I call him a sweet boy but he is! Finn is so considerate and always willing to help me when I ask and even if I don't. He is so nice to EVERYBODY. He loves little kids and they love him right back. He always has to be moving----he is not one to sit still for very long.

3 months old
10 months old

1 year old
Eating a churro at Sea World--I'm not quite sure why he looks so worried!

He got an early start playing his favorite sport! This was indoor soccer at Dimple Dell Rec. Center.

I think this was his first time waterskiing. He looks a little nervous again!

More soccer!

Baptism day!

8th grade school picture.
Finn-Dad and I are so proud of you and the great person you are! Hope you have a great 14th birthday!
