MONO

Just before Christmas, Montana hadn't been feeling well and couldn't seem to shake it for a couple weeks. But then Christmas came and went and she seemed fine. But last week she was feeling rotten again. Her glands were so huge that her neck looked weird and she could barely talk. Her head was pounding and she couldn't swallow. So off to the doctor we went. Sure enough, it was mono. I had sort of suspected it before Christmas but then she got better. She barely got off the couch for about 4 days. She lost 8 lbs. Poor thing. She only missed 2 days of school last week. I had to check her out yesterday because she was so tired. She came home and slept for about 4 hours and felt much better. I keep trying to tell her to take it easy or it's going to take much longer to get better. That's hard to hear when you are 15 and very social!

Feel better Montana! She is so spunky I didn't even notice at Christmas. Mad says she just learned in her health class that so many kids share drinks it spreads very commonly that way.

She is feeling much better now. But her ear is still sore and she gets tired really easily.
