BYU Autumn Classic

Looking good pre-race!

Montana had her second UVU meet on Friday. How nice that it was around the corner at Cascade Golf Course!  It was fun to be able to watch cross country after not watching any meets last year. I forgot how nervous I get! She did great and even got a PR.

Oh she's gonna love that I posted this! Looking a little wiped out!

Off to a great start!

UVU started a week ago and Montana didn't even get to run in her first college meet. Those dang shin splints were so bad they put her in a boot. Hopefully, after two weeks, she will be good as new. In the meantime she is able to use the injury to her advantage at the grocery store!

Wolverine Green!

Montana officially signed her Letter of Intent today.

She will be headed to

UTAH VALLEY UNIVERSITY

to run on the Women's Cross Country team. She is so excited as are Kurt and I.

We headed over to Orem High to sign her letter at the beginning of her track class.

Thanks to Cami & Andy Jacobs for all the great coaching this year. She wouldn't be where she is today without all their help.

We are so proud of you Montana and are looking forward to many successful races with UVU! Go Wolverines!

College Bound

College applications are done and turned in. Weird. My firstborn child will be heading off to college in less than a year. Wow-how the time has flown by. I'm so proud of her and all that she has accomplished. And I am so excited for her to go off on her own and have so many wonderful experiences. I know she will thrive wherever it is that she ends up!

College Day at Orem High

Whoa-I'm feeling a little overwhelmed today. Not necessarily about applying to colleges and applying for financial aid and so on. But overwhelmed by the fact that I have a DAUGHTER who is going to college so soon! I don't feel old enough for that. It seems like college was just yesterday for me! My freshman year at BYU was probably the most fun year of my life. And it seems I have such wonderful, vivid memories of that time. How can that have happened over 20 years ago?

But, aside from being overwhelmed, I am so excited for Montana. She has such a wonderful, bright future with so many opportunities. I just want her to be able to take advantage of every one of them.
