ANOTHER BIRTHDAY

So today is my birthday! It did not start out so well so it can only get better from this point on. My day started at 6 a.m. I had to get Finn to the soccer fields by 6:45 in order to leave to California for his soccer trip. Of course we forgot his lunch so Kurt had to run it down to the fields. Then I had to run home in time to get Indy out of bed to be in Lindon by 7:45 to catch his bus to Clear Creek camp. Then Montana had to be at the stake center by 8:00 to catch her bus to Heber Valley Camp. I had a few minutes to come home, catch my breath, do a few jobs around the house and head off to a presidency meeting/breakfast at Magleby's. Thanks to Tami, Barb and Amy for taking me to breakfast!

4th of July

Summer comes and goes way too fast! We are already past the 4th of July! We followed our tradition for the 4th and spent it at the Hotel del Coronado. We got there on the 3rd and met up with the Masons, the Heatons, the Oklands, the Tanners, the Garns, the Christensens and the Watts. It was a great time as usual. Our traditional fireworks extravaganza was made even better by the huge sound system Brian Mason brought to the park. The kids got their glowy necklaces, mouthpieces and other paraphenalia. The Heatons brought the little ones (Maisy and Crew) this time around along with a babysitter. Montana is usually a little bummed because there is never anyone her age but there were a few girls this year. She just didn't take the time to get to know any of them.

We spent a few days in Laguna before heading to Coronado. Everyone was there but Pat and Sherry. I think we were in touch with them every day several times to let them know what we were doing. The weather was great. Two days there wasn't even any morning fog to burn off. We woke up to sun. That was fun for a change.

Now the family is all coming to Utah to hang out at our house and then head down to the ranch. I haven't been to the ranch in a long time so it should be fun. The kids are excited. The Dietleins are putting on a couple of plays from the theater in Arizona. Tomorrow we are all going to hike to Timpangos Cave and do the tour. It should be fun.
