Another cancer scare

I am thinking that the Brian family has had enough cancer! After Eliza and Darin(and I am just talking our immediate family!) I think we have had our family share. But Kurt's dad Pat was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on May 30. It was found while he was having a scan for something else. Luckily, they caught it in the very early stages and the doctors are very confident that it will be easily treated. He had his surgery yesterday. They removed his spleen, the tumor on his pancreas and a part of the colon. He should be in the hospital 4 or 5 days. Sherry sounded very positive about the outcome. He will have to have some chemotherapy to ensure that all the cancer is gone. But we are confident that within a few months time Pat will be back to his old healthy self!
