Orem vs. Springville L 2-0

Alan, our neighbor and photographer who shoots all the photos for the soccer team, was out of town for this game. I guess it's good in a way because we LOST! 

The sad part is Springville scored the two goals in the first 10 minutes of the game and we had control of the ball the entire rest of the game. 

Sometimes, in soccer, the score is not a very good indicator of who the better team is.

Visit to Fremont Street

Technically I guess I shouldn't title this post NAB 2013 because I don't actually attend the convention. But I'm lucky enough that I get to go with Kurt to Vegas while he attends! This year there were 2 guys (and wives) from his team there---Sean and Wayne. The weather wasn't the greatest unfortunately. But we still made the best of it!

Not too many pics of Finn from this game. He had gotten 2 yellow cards from the previous game so he couldn't play.... Such a bummer.

Spring Break 2013

We spent spring break in St. George this year. The original plan was to go to Laguna Beach but, with Finn's broken hand, we had to make some changes. The kids weren't happy about it at first but I think it ended up being pretty fun in the end.

The Youngs came and stayed with us. We LOVE having them around!

The Hellewells, Hunters and Slades were all staying in Entrada so we were able to meet up with them throughout the week.

We took a little ride out to Warner Valley with most of the gang. 

Our last day we headed in to Zion to hike Angel's Landing. It was a perfect day! 

Fun times with good friends.

Happy Birthday Finn

I can't believe you are 18 today. As I looked through these pictures of you I couldn't hold back the tears. 

You have been a joy to raise.

You are obedient and kind.

You are righteous and sensitive to the spirit.

Good as new

 Finn had his surgery today. 

A couple little bolts in there and he's good to go!

All fixed up just in time for his birthday tomorrow.

Amazing the things they can do to the body. 

He had the surgery this morning and then he and Kurt drove down to St. George to salvage a few days worth of spring break with the rest of us.
