State Semifinal Game 3 vs. Murray

It was a sad, sad day on Tuesday. Murray beat Orem 1-0. The Tigers came so close to winning State! Unfortunately it wasn't to be this year. Orem had such a great year though. I'm looking forward to next year with Finn as a senior. Hopefully the team will do just as well.

State Quarterfinal Game 2 vs. Roy

I don't think I've ever been to a more exciting high school soccer game than this one! The boys knew going in to the game that it would be tough. I think Roy is the best team in the state this year. 

It was a tough game for sure! At the end of regulation the score was 2-2. Then neither team was able to score in 2 overtimes. So it came down to a shootout. But Orem ended up winning---scoring 3 to Roy's 1. 

That's one big group of exhausted, happy boys! Looking forward to Tuesday where they will play Murray in the semi-final.

State-Game 1 vs. Bountiful

Orem High soccer has been pretty exciting this season. I have yet to post pictures from any of the games except this latest one! I'll get to it at some point. This game was the first of the state playoffs at the home field. They didn't play so well the whole first half. Then Bountiful scored one. But Jonny Bradshaw scored to tie us up.  In overtime Jake Thomson scored the golden goal and Orem won. 

Finn had fallen right on his tailbone the night before at the skate ramp so I don't think he was able to play his best. And, during one play of the game, he fell again on the ball right on his tailbone. 

Such a great win! Looking forward to Game 2 tomorrow against Roy!

Another prom has come and gone. These kids look like they had a pretty fun time as usual!
